Modernity in woven raffia… This season, we have chosen to continue our work in Madagascar in order to support a cooperative of women living below the poverty line. There were 25 women when we first began this initiative in 2016, a number that has grown to 75 women. In time, the atelier adopted its own systems of organization, with a more efficient production process that has allowed us to design new weaving patterns that differ from those found in previous collections. We have also decided to temporarily put on hold our African patterns, instead adding lurex to this natural material. The result is more decorative than ever, the Modernista collection both joyful and sophisticated.
